On Thursday, January 25th, the girls and boys basketball teams from Victor made the trek south to face their old Class C foe Darby. Darby, now in Class B, won both games.

In the boys game, Victor came out on fire, starting the game on a 10-2 run, but the Tigers came roaring back and outscored the Pirates 30-10 over the next quarter and a half to take a 32-20 halftime lead. Darby kept up the pressure in the second half and cruised to a 52-35 victory. Darby’s Leif Nelson had a big game with 21 points, McCoy Townsend had 15, Payton Ehmann had 11, Jordan Browning had 3, and Ben Martin added 2.

In the girls game, Darby got up early and never looked back. The Lady Tigers led 14-3 after one quarter, 27-7 at halftime and cruised to the 47-21 victory.
