Jon Tester wrote and/or sponsored into law over 3 dozen bills supporting veterans. Donald Trump signed 11 of these, in addition to 19 other bills Tester co-authored or co-sponsored.
Montana has nearly 100,000 vets, one of the highest percentages per capita in our country. My father was a proud veteran, and benefitted greatly from Senator Tester’s hard work, in particular from the Vet’s Cost of Living Adjustment, Choice & Accountability and Health Care and Benefits Improvement Acts. Because of these, my father had both quality care and a dignified death in VA facilities.
Jon Tester has served on the Senate Veterans’ Affairs Committee since 2007, and as Committee Chair since 2021. He has authored nearly 150 veteran-focused bills into the complex process of becoming law. He fought tirelessly for the bipartisan PACT Act with benefits and care for toxic-exposed veterans and their families, including for Vietnam-era veterans exposed to Agent Orange. Tester also facilitated passage of laws for mental healthcare and expanded services for female and Native American vets. The Senator was the driver for the VA healthcare facility in Hamilton, MT. Tester works hard for Montanans and all US citizens. He supports our first responders- law enforcement, firefighters and border patrol agents- and successfully fought for fair and improved pay for Border Patrol Agents and Wildland Firefighters.
Tester is currently working to protect 2nd amendment rights, stopping foreclosures for veterans, and scamming of our veterans. My deepest thanks to all who serve, and to Senator Tester for his support.
