INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that electronic bids for the construction of: North 3rd Street & Belmont (Pinckney to Pennsylvania) Water Main Replacements will be received by the City of Hamilton, 223 South 2nd Street, Hamilton, Montana, 59840 until 2:00 p.m., local time (MT), on Friday, February 9, 2024. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud, via virtual Microsoft Teams Meeting.
This project consists of the following but is not necessarily limited to: installing approximately 3,550 lineal feet total of 12-inch, 8-inch, and 6-inch water mains in North 3rd Street (Pinckney to Adirondac), Adirondac Avenue (North 3rd Street to Belmont), and Belmont Avenue (Adirondac to Pennsylvania) in Hamilton, MT. The existing water services will be swapped and connected to the new mains. New fire hydrants will be installed. Connections between new and existing water mains will occur throughout. Associated appurtenances and fittings necessary to complete the project are detailed on the construction plans. All restoration of disturbed areas including asphalt, concrete, gravel, landscaping, and irrigation, and other miscellaneous work is included.

The project requires bidders submit electronic bids as prescribed on the Consultant’s electronic bidding site, www.questcdn.com. Prospective Bidders must purchase contract documents through QuestCDN. QuestCDN is a web-based platform for construction project advertisements, bid documents distribution and plan holder lists. Prospective bidders will need the seven-digit QuestCDN project number (#8934609) to locate the job on the QuestCDN website search page. Bids will not be accepted from any prospective bidder who has not purchased contract documents through QuestCDN.
A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 3:00 p.m., local time (MT), on Thursday, February 1, 2024, both in-person at City of Hamilton Public Works (920 New York Ave, Hamilton, MT 59840) and virtually via Microsoft Teams by contacting Cory Davis (Cory.S.Davis@imegcorp.com) for invitation. Interested Contractors are strongly encouraged to attend.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public opening of the bids specified above.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner.
Any objections to published specifications must be filed in written form with the Owner and Engineer prior to the bid opening.
