Residents of Darby and the surrounding communities now have access to comprehensive medical care. The new, expansive 7,000 square foot facility saw its first patients on Wednesday, December 27.
This new facility is south of the current Bitterroot Health Darby clinic, at 820 N. Main Street, and has been designed to provide an array of essential services all under one roof with the patient at the center of the flow and layout.
The new clinic will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients will have access to primary care, physical therapy, lab and X-ray services, urgent care and 24/7 ambulance services.
Pete Dunn, Bitterroot Health Senior Director of Regional Services, has managed this project and was instrumental in establishing the new Bitterroot Health location in Stevensville.
“It’s been exciting to add onto the Primary Care services currently offered at Bitterroot Health – Darby,” said Dunn. “Adding Physical Therapy and X-ray will expand services in this community as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility in the Valley. The
design of the new building has been done in a way to allow for an expansion of the space and to add even more services, should the demand increase in the future,” Dunn said.
Darby native Maria Rennaker is the primary care provider at the current Darby clinic, and looks forward to continuing caring for her community in the new space.
“It’s rewarding to bring more care services to the community I grew up in,” Rennaker said. Rennaker will be joined at the new clinic by Carlee Kalbfleisch, MD.
“This project could not have been possible without the generous donations of multiple members of the community, who will be recognized on a donor wall in the new clinic. An enormous amount of gratitude goes to Mr. Charles Scripps who has been integral in bringing this project to fruition with philanthropic assistance,” said John Bishop, CEO of
Bitterroot Health.
The local community is invited to attend a grand opening event on Wednesday, January 17, 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., to tour the facility, meet the clinic staff, and enjoy refreshments.
