The boys and girls wrestling teams from Corvallis, Hamilton, and Stevensville competed in the Western A Divisionals on February 3rd & 4th in Polson. In the team standings, both the Corvallis boys and girls finished in 4th place. The Hamilton boys took 6th and the Hamilton girls took 8th. The Stevensville boys took 12th.
Several Bitterroot Valley athlete’s were Divisional Champions. For the girls, Corvallis’s Addy Williams took 1st at 107 and Hamilton’s Madison Lee took 1st at 145. For the boys, Hamilton’s Jesse Anson took 1st at 132 and Hamilton’s Andrew Frederick took 1st at 170.
The following Bitterroot Valley wrestlers placed at divisionals and qualified for state – season records are in parentheses. The All Class State Tournament will be held in Billings on February 10th & 11th.
Corvallis girls: Kiera Davis (15-3) placed 2nd at 100, Addy Williams (14-4) placed 1st at 107, Kaelynn Vanderpool (14-9) placed 3rd at 107, Kacee French (7-7) placed 4th at 114, Jocelyn Covington (9-2) placed 2nd at 132, Aava Nelson (10-4) placed 3rd at 132,
Hamilton girls: Peyton Boggs (2-29) placed 8th at 126, Madison Lee (20-6) placed 1st at 145, Sierra Poulsen (11-6) placed 4th at 145.
Corvallis Boys: Boone Venema (7-14) placed 8th at 120, Ben White (21-7) placed 3rd at 126, Sean Davis (22-16) placed 5th at 126, Seth Allen (31-19) placed 3rd at 132, Jason Davis (17-3) placed 2nd at 138, Nate Davis (30-13) placed 5th at 145, Jonny Williams (32-9) placed 3rd at 160, Bodee Davis (28-13) placed 7th at 170, and Bryce Weidow (16-8) placed 3rd at 205.
Hamilton Boys: Cameron Beall (22-19) placed 7th at 113, Jesse Anson (28-3) placed 1st at 132, Andrew Frederick (15-6) placed 1st at 170, Aiden Toniazzo (18-9) placed 6th at 170, Clayton Beall (21-19) placed 4th at 182, Noah Guisinger (6-6) placed 8th at 182, Derrick Saltzman (32-7) placed 2nd at 205, and Trevor Lewis (27-12) placed 4th at 205.
Stevensville Boys: Todd Whitescarver (24-10) placed 3rd at 120, William Chiavarini (18-14) placed 7th at 126, and Zachary Sannar (12-15) placed 7th at 285.
