Gregory Scott Simmert

Stevensville – Gregory Scott Simmert, 33 of Stevensville, MT went home to be with his heavenly Father on January 4th, 2023.

Greg was born on May 18th, 1989, in Missoula, MT, the son of Scott and Lori Simmert. He was raised in Stevensville with his sister Jacklyn Simmert-Moss. He attended Lone Rock School and Stevensville High School where he graduated in 2007.

Greg enjoyed many family vacations, was an avid gamer and loved hanging out with his friends and coworkers.

Greg worked with his grandpa at Martin Masonry for seven years as a hoddie and as a cook for eight years at various restaurants in the Bitterroot valley. His passion was to cook.

Greg had a very tender heart, caring personality, and infectious laugh. He is loved deeply and will be greatly missed by friends and family.

He is survived by his parents Scott W. and Lori D. Simmert of Tucson, AZ, his sister Jacklyn D. Moss and brother-in-law Bryan L. Moss of Stevensville, nephew Kamden Moss, his grandparents Diane L. Martin of Stevensville and Wallace J. Simmert of Missoula, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded by his grandmother Rose M. Simmert of Missoula and grandfather Marvin A. Martin of Stevensville.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Providence St. Patrick’s Hospital for their compassionate care.

Services will be held Friday, January 13th, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 5425 Gharrett St, Missoula, MT 59803. Reception following.
