Attention, state legislators

December 14, 2022 by Guest Post

by Helen Sabin, Corvallis

“…Cities may be rebuilt, and a People reduced to Poverty, may acquire fresh Property: But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrendered their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it.” ~John Adams

Unfortunately, John Adams was right. He knew that there would be self-serving  individuals in state legislatures who would cheerfully go along with encroaching on their own constituents’ freedoms and liberties for their own nefarious purposes. Such egregious individuals were the Montana Democrats, nine Republicans and Bitterroot State Senator Theresa Manzella, who voted against the Convention of States last year.

The self-serving encroachment upon us by elected “officials” is real and our liberty may be lost unless we do something about it. Legislators: We are YOUR constituents, and you are OUR elected legislators. We ask you to do OUR will, represent our wishes, be our voice, and vote YES on the Convention of States when it comes to the legislature this session. We are fed up with what is going on in congress, with the Biden administration, the tremendous debt that the profligate congress has laid upon us and our grandchildren, and want a convention of states to rein them in.

Legislators who vote against us, and against the Convention of States are NOT representing the people of the Bitterroot Valley nor of America. 80% of Americans do desire a convention of states to do something about the egregious actions of the Biden Administration and the federal government and that something is to make Montana, state # 20 to apply for the convention.

If you do NOT vote for the legislation, we will find representatives who will listen to us. We want legislators who represent US – not their own personal agendas or beliefs.
