Leanna ‘Lee’ S. Jewell

November 8, 2022 by Editor

Victor – Leanna “Lee” S. Jewell (Fryberger), of Victor, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus on October 23, 2022, at home in Victor with her family by her side. She loved going to the mountains to pick huckleberries, crochet hats for Christmas gift boxes, and bake multiple types of cookies, cakes, and doughnuts. She was an active member of the River Church, in Hamilton, and enjoyed providing treats on Sundays and for Law Enforcement recognition.

Leanna was born on July 27, 1942, to Theldon and Leanore Fryberger, in Denver, CO. Leanna was the third of five children: Robert, Orvin, Noel, and Linda. She married her soulmate James Jewell on July 5, 1966 and had two children: Michael and Susan.

“Jewell,” as she was lovingly called by her grandchildren, is survived by her husband, James; children, Michael (Debbie) Billings, MT and Susan of Victor, MT; four grandchildren: Christina (of Billings), Andrew (of Billings), Michael (of Billings) and Steven (of Victor); brother, Robert (of Wyoming) and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and her sister.

Mom was passionate about serving both Operation Christmas Child and H.E.A.R.T. Ministry of Ravalli County. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to either organization would be appreciated.

A memorial service for Lee and Jim will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. at the River Church, 354 Cooper Lane, in Hamilton. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com
