Corvallis has won three straight games after a rough 0-3 start. Corvallis coach Josh McCrossin said of his team, “I love my team’s resiliency and I’m proud of how far they have come. I’m excited for what they have left to put on the field for the rest of the season.” Their latest win was a 52-13 drubbing of East Helena. QB Aydan Mayn threw three TD passes, Will Bohenek had two long TD runs, Solomon Morgan had two TD receptions, and Levi Reynoso returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD. Corvallis will host Ronan on Friday, October 14th at 7 p.m.
Hamilton 42 Ronan 7
Hamilton’s Taylor Searle took the opening kickoff 95 yards for a TD as the 406mtsports.com’s No. 1 ranked Class A team rolled to another victory at Ronan. Senior WR Liam O’Connell had a huge game, catching three TD passes. Jesse Anson and Andrew Frederick each rushed for a TD. Hamilton will host Libby on Friday, October 14th at 7 p.m.
Florence-Carlton 46 Anaconda 0
Florence, the 406mtsports.com’s No. 3 ranked Class B team, rolled Anaconda for their homecoming win. The Falcon defense controlled the game and pitched a shutout. William Wagner returned the opening kickoff 76 yards for a TD and the Falcons never looked back. Patrick Duchien threw 4 TD passes, one each to Brody Duchien, Ethan Alexander, Tyler Abbott, and Ryan Winters. Florence travels to play No. 1 ranked Bigfork on Friday, October 14th in a rematch of last year’s State Championship game.
Stevensville 3 Dillon 41
Stevensville kept it close early, trailing 3-6 halfway through the second quarter, but Dillon broke away for the win. Stevensville’s Kellan Beller led the ‘Jackets with 130 yards rushing and 91 yards receiving and eight tackles on defense. Stevensville’s Jeffery Berryman also had eight tackles, while Hunter Gum had seven. Stevensville’s schedule doesn’t get any easier as they travel to face a tough Frenchtown team on Friday, October 14th.
Victor 44 Plains 13
The Victor Pirates got their first win of the season in resounding fashion with a 44-13 victory over visiting Plains. Victor’s Jordan McLane had three rushing TDs and eight tackles, Cale Alber rushed for 56 yards, had six tackles and an interception, Alec Rowlan rushed for 73 yards and scored a TD, Roan Jackson rushed for a TD and had a blocked punt, and Landon Nuttall led the team with 10.5 tackles. The Pirates will make the long trip to play Troy on Friday, October 14th.
Darby 14 St. Ignatius 64
Darby ran into a buzzsaw on Friday, October 7th, when they faced undefeated and 406mtsports.com’s No. 4 ranked St. Ignatius, losing 14-64. Darby faces another tough task as they travel to undefeated and No. 9 ranked Superior on Friday, October 14th.
