The company you keep

May 3, 2022 by Guest Post

by Doug Bohn, Victor

There’s an old saying: “Tell me who you live with, I’ll tell you who you are.”  This is so true. Humans have a tendency to associate with others they are comfortable with. People are comfortable with others who share their principles and values. Therefore, we can learn alot from paying attention to who individuals associate with.

It’s wise to pay attention to this subtle but potent measure of an individual, especially when you are going to place YOUR TRUST in someone to represent YOU. Do they associate with people YOU would associate with? Are their associates people that hold YOUR values?

This requires observation and communication with others you associate with to learn of their observations. After all, we can’t be everywhere, can we?

As one who has observed this aspect of human nature for years, here is what I have observed, and learned from others, in this lead-up to the primary elections. Candidate Rusk is frequently welcomed warmly after his speech by those who are his main supporters. Most notably Representative David Bedey and Representative Sharon Greef. Two names residents of this valley are very aware of. BOTH of these representatives are NOT America First people. This is not my opinion, this conclusion is based on their voting records in Helena while they represented YOU! Both earned a “D” grade, reflecting a “WEAK REPUBLICAN” on the loyalty scale by legislatorloyalty.com. This site grades only on a legislator’s voting record. That is to say, their ACTIONS, not their slick speeches, or opinion pieces designed to sway.

So, when our house considers who would best represent US in HD88, we are looking for someone who associates with, and has the support of, representatives that earn an “A” grade on this scale, like Theresa Manzella has for years. That individual is Alan Lackey. With Alan, we will not be constantly wondering if our rep in Helena is betraying our liberties, sacrificing our rights, or stealing our monies.
