The Florence-Carlton softball team is off to a great start this season. The defending Class B/C champions are currently 12-1. Their
only loss came to defending Class A champion Polson. The Lady Falcons had a busy week. On Monday, April 25th they beat Anaconda 10-0. On Tuesday they made it look easy with a 16-0 win over Deer Lodge. Then they participated in a tournament in Frenchtown over the weekend, on Friday they lost to Polson 5-6, and beat a tough Class A Laurel squad 2-0. On Saturday, they beat Columbia Falls 9-5, then beat Dillon 15-0 in the afternoon. Starting pitcher Kylie Kovatch is 12-1 on the season, including a 2-0 shutout win in the Laurel game, where she pitched seven scoreless innings, allowing only two hits and striking out five.
