The track & field teams from Florence-Carlton, Victor, and Darby competed in the Western B & C Divisionals on May 20th & 21st in Frenchtown. In the Class B team standing, the Florence boys’ team took 6th, while the girls finished in 8th. In Class C, the Darby boys finished 5th, the Victor boys placed 13th, and the Darby girls finished in 10th.
For the Florence boys, Nathaniel Gale won the 3200m with a time of 10:05.14 and took 4th in the 1600m (4:39.26). Quinn Lue took 3rd in the high jump (6-00). Kyler Harris took 5th in the 800m (2:07.89), the 1600m (4:42.52) and the 3200m (10:24.48). William Wagner took 5th in the 300m hurdles (44.26) and 6th in the 200m (24.28). Luke Maki took 5th in the discus (118-07).
For the Florence girls, Kendal Boehm took 2nd in the discus (106-02.75) and 4th in the shot put (30-11). Trista Williams took 2nd in the shot put (36-03.5). Allison Streekstra took 4th in the 3200m (14:09.85).
For the Darby boys, William Martin won the 300m hurdles (41.57) and took 4th in the 110m hurdles (16.55). Martin has the second fastest time in Class C in the 300m hurdles going into state. Clayton Lucas placed 6th in the discus (123-04).
For the Darby girls, Hadassah Wilson had a terrific all-around performance, finishing 2nd in the long jump (16-02.5), and 3rd in both the 200m (27.29) and the 400m (1:01.46). Amber Anderson took 5th in the 100m hurdles (17.78).
For the Victor boys, Robert Crosbie took 4th in the 200m (23.90) and 5th in the 100m (12.07). Canyon Parks took 4th in the triple jump (39-05.5). Carson Varner took 4th in the shot put (42-09.25).
The Class B/C State Track meet is in Great Falls on May 27th & 28th.
