Hamilton – On April 8, 2022, Robert “Bob” Samuel Bailey was called to his heavenly home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Born in 1946, he moved to Hamilton in 1956 with his family where he spent his youth with his dad and his brother Jim in the great outdoors. After graduating from Hamilton High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served our country on the flight line for 11 years.
After the service, Bob split his time in California and Montana. He finally came home to Hamilton permanently in 1997.
Bob is survived by his wife, Donna; his daughters, Shanna (Danielle) Allison and grandson, Billy; sons, Grant (Michelle), Rick (Misty) and Christopher (Melinda); brothers, Jim (Jennie) and John (Cynthia); sister, Rosemary (Robert); nephews, Steven (Rebecca), Kevin (Jenny) and Tomi; sisters-in-law, Jeanie, Belinda and many great-nephews, nieces and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, an aunt and uncle and his beloved dog, Bailey, who has eagerly been watching for him.
The family is grateful to the doctors and nurses of Bitterroot Health, Community Medical Center and St. Patrick Hospital for their compassion and care. He will be forever loved and missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Trapper Cabin on Lake Como on June 30, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
