Presidential crime statistics

March 2, 2022 by Guest Post

by Mark Snider, Hamilton

Are liberals, Antifa, and Democratic politicians rife with criminals? And what about our presidents and their staff? Do they serve a better example? How honest are our leaders?

To answer these issues we can go online and find official records to find out how our leaders have been behaving. Google News published an article entitled, “Corruption by the Numbers” published on July 6th 2017 and compiled and reported by Sheila Kennedy. Official criminal records showed the following:

Obama had no indictments, no convictions and no staff went to prison.

Bush senior had 16 indictments, 16 convictions and 1 sent to prison.

Clinton had 2 indictments, 1 conviction and 1 prison sentence.

Bush Jr. had 1 indictment, 1 conviction and 1 prison sentence.

Reagan had 26 indictments, 16 convictions and 8 went to prison.

Carter had 1 indictment, no convictions and no one went to prison.

Ford had 1 indictment, 1 conviction and 1 prison sentence.

Nixon had 76 indictments, 55 convictions and 15 went to prison.

Johnson had no indictments or convictions.

During these 53 years the Democratic presidents and staff had had 3 indictments, 1 conviction and 1 prison sentence. The Republicans had 120 criminal indictments, 89 convictions and 34 that were sent to prison.

The report did not report on crimes by Trump or Biden since one is under investigation and the other was elected after the article was written.

What political party is a better example for our children? Which represents American values such as honesty, respect for the law and trustworthiness? Which party characterizes better religious adherence? If both parties break the law, does that mean they are equally corrupt and evil? In my opinion, the lesser of two evils is a far better choice.

Thanks, Mark, for this compilation of facts. We need to keep these things in mind when people start to make up realities.
