Truth on Ryan Zinke

February 23, 2022 by Guest Post

by Pat Earnest, Stevensville

I would like to address some of the things that are circulating about Ryan Zinke, Republican candidate for Montana’s new House seat.

Ryan was born in and has always lived in Montana, unless you hold it against him that he was deployed to fight for our country as a US Navy SEAL. Ryan has been a consultant in cyber security, national defense and energy ever since retiring from the military.

There have been many allegations and investigations – all without merit and no wrongdoing found. He has never advocated for selling public land. Instead Zinke increased acreage of public lands and increased access for hunting, fishing and recreation.

As we all struggle to live with the high cost of living, it is important to remember that Ryan Zinke has a proven record making the United States energy independent. During his time as Secretary, he increased federal energy production including oil and gas, implemented regulatory reforms that led to lower prices, and made the USA a net exporter for the first time in a generation.

I look for the best qualified candidate and Ryan Zinke is my choice for US House.

Zinke is a RINO. No more RINO’s.

Truth is… Ryan Zinke wrongdoing has been clearly established by the Inspector General’s Office of the U.S. Department of the Interior.

In a report issued last week ( Feb 16th, 2022 ) titled “Former Secretary Did Not Comply With Ethical Obligations and Duty of Candor” the Inspector General’s Office details their investigation and findings of multiple instances of wrongdoing by Zinke. Anybody who cares to know the truth can read the report for themselves.

For those who don’t want to read the entire report, the first paragraph of the report’s Conclusion states: “In sum, we concluded that Secretary Zinke did not comply with his ethics obligations as set forth in his ethics agreement, recusal memorandum, and accompanying documents, all of which were provided to senior level executive officials at the DOI and the OGE as a required part of the confirmation process. We also concluded that Secretary Zinke did not comply with his duty of candor when he knowingly provided incorrect, incomplete, and misleading answers to the DAEO in July 2018 about his continued involvement with the Foundation and the 95 Karrow project. We also found that Secretary Zinke violated the Standards of Ethical Conduct when he misused his official position to direct his subordinates to perform activities that were not related to the performance of their official duties during normal duty hours.”

Montana can do much better than Ryan Zinke.
