February 23, 2022 by Editor

Julie Kay Baumbach, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, died peacefully, Monday, February 7, 2022, in Missoula, Montana surrounded by family.

Julie was born Julie Kay Richardson in 1945 in Missoula to parents Lewis Burt Richardson and Ethel Montana Richardson.  She was active in 4-H and music as a youngster.  In 1975, she met and married William C. Baumbach.

She is survived by her husband William Baumbach of 48 years, her daughter Brenda Fisher, her son Mark Baumbach, his wife Shannon and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends that considered her to be their sister.

She was preceded in death by her son John Newhoff in December 2021, her parents, Lewis and Ethel and her brothers Lewis Jr. Richardson and Robert Richardson.

Julie loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved gardening, baking, working in the yard, playing cards and games and being with her animals.  Her heart was always full of love.  She helped many people throughout her life, taking in friends of her children, George Bedor, Don Bedor, Shannon Lange and Joy Lynn Magstadt.  She loved to travel with her daughter, her sister-in-law Sue Johnson and her grandchildren to the Oregon coast to see her brother and her sister-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.brothersmortuary.com
