Stevensville – Anna Lee Wells, 93, of Stevensville passed away at the Living Centre Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022.
Anna was born on February 27, 1928 in Missoula, Montana to Carl Hammill and Elvina Jones. She was the youngest of 4.
In 1944, Anna married Raymond Elliott and gave birth to their son, Joseph Eugene Elliott.
Anna later moved to Sacramento, California where she worked in Civil Service for the Air Force. She married Charles (Charlie) Wells in 1979, adding Sarah (Gilbert) Royce, Eric Wells, and Jon Wells to her family. Anna and Charlie moved to Stevensville in 1987 after retirement. Where she was able to enjoy her hobbies of painting, quilting, baking, playing cards, volunteering at the museum, and enjoying meals with friends in the Gourmet Club.
They moved to Missoula in 1995 making lots of friends, watching their children and grandchildren grow older, and spoiling their pup, Honey. In 2014, Anna moved back to Stevensville to an apartment in the Living Centre; where she enjoyed Bingo, bible study, sing-a-longs, games, and sharing special times with her neighbors and friends.
She always had a love of animals and music contributing to her inner child that she never let grow up or go away. She loved to make people laugh and always had a joke ready for anyone that needed it.
Anna was reunited with her parents, siblings (Lucinda, Joe, Jennie, and Marie), her husbands (Ray, S.D, and Charlie), her son (Joe), granddaughter (Beckky), daughter-in-laws, son-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews, friends and her pups.
Anna will be dearly missed by Sarah, Eric (Jean), Jon (Penny), Monte grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, extended generations of nieces and nephews and friends.
A memorial will be held Friday, February 25th from 1:45 to 3:15 at Lolo Community Center.
