A Canadian end run

January 25, 2022 by Guest Post

by Ed Sperry Col USAF (ret), Stevensville

Have you heard about the clever way one unvaccinated Canadian slipped into the United States?

The rascal came in through Mexico! I understand he lived in Calgary and needed urgent medical treatment only available at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. Since he rejected Chinese virus vaccination, he had a big border crossing problem. This guy was smart. He simply took a train to Vancouver, Canada. He then bought passage on a ship to Ensenada, Mexico. From Ensenada, he simply enjoyed a trip to the Rio Grande and walked across. Then he got lucky and even caught a free airlift for illegal immigrants that got him to Rochester. He was welcomed there and housed and fed. I don’t know if he ever got back to Canada but he did manage to get treatment. Oh yes, I think he told the Border Patrol in Texas that he was fleeing from Botswana.

Go figure. Could it be that this “immigrant’s” travel plans indicate a wee bit of inconsistency in our border management?

Hey, neighbor, I had made this story up for a laugh. I was desperately seeking some humor from the unbelievable situations at our southern and northern borders. A friend has just told me that such an event has in fact happened. Maybe so? Whether such an event actually happened or if it’s just my imagination at work is really immaterial. Neighbor, just think a moment; isn’t it sad and alarming to realize that such an event could even be considered?
