Local business steps up for Imagination Library

November 2, 2021 by Editor

Jaime Devlin

A2Z Personnel has launched a campaign to help Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in the Bitterroot Valley. Imagination Library is a program that was started by beloved country music icon Dolly Parton which provides a free book every month to participating children between the ages of 0 to 5. The program costs $25 per child to run and Jaime Devlin, owner of A2Z Personnel, has come up with ideas to raise money for what she considers a great cause. Devlin’s goal is to raise $20,000 for Imagination Library by December 31. She has challenged other businesses to donate and has made a commitment to match all donations up to $5,000. Individuals are also encouraged to donate.

Checks can be made out to Sapphire Community Health, the non-profit sponsor for the Imagination Library. Put “DPIL” in the memo and mail to: A2Z Personnel, 186 S. 3rd Street, Hamilton, MT 59840 or call Liz at 406-880-2007 with any questions. Donations are tax-deductible.

A2Z Personnel is also sponsoring the Parade of Trees, a live and online auction of decorated Christmas trees, filled stockings and gift boxes in December. All the proceeds from that will also go to Imagination Library. Participating businesses will be decorating Christmas trees that will be voted on by the public for the rights to display the traveling trophy until next year.

The top five trees, as chosen by a secret selection committee, will be auctioned off at the corner of 3rd and Main during Stevensville’s traditional Country Christmas celebration on First Friday, December 3 following the Stevensville School Choir program, the Parade of Lights, and the Living Nativity display. The live auction is expected to start around 7 p.m. Immediately after that, the online auction will begin and will run through December 5th.

In addition to the Parade of Trees, A2Z Personnel is also sponsoring a window decorating contest for businesses and a residential yard decorating contest. Watch for the residential entry form in the Bitterroot Star, or they can be picked up at A2Z Personnel. The public will get to vote for their favorites and the winners will receive a traveling trophy and other prizes.

We couldn’t be more thrilled and thankful to Jaime, Liz and A2Z for their support! We have 1,000+ children registered to receive a free book a month mailed to their homes from Florence to Sula and every town in-between and hope to have every child under five registered! I know Ravalli County loves their little kids and this is such a special way to let them know we care about them.. I’m looking forward to the Parade of Trees and hope everyone visits all the great businesses who are participating. Dolly, our kids and those of us involved in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ravalli County thank A2Z for their enthusiasm and contributions to our community!

A2Z continues to be such a huge supporter of all great causes in the valley! We can’t thank Jamie enough for her enthusiasm and willingness to help the people and children of our valley! We challenge everyone to sponsor a child for the Imagination Library. Ask your friends and family on your Christmas List if that would be a good gift for them, to sponsor a child in their name!
