David C. Lindquist

October 19, 2021 by Editor

Hamilton – David C. Lindquist “Diamond Dave”, born in Hamilton, October 2, 1950. He passed away peacefully, in his home, on October 12, 2021.

Dave was a kind gentle soul, who would help anyone in need without giving it second thought. He was a hard worker and didn’t just say you can do anything if you put your mind to it, but he believed it. He would be there every step of the way with many words of wisdom and encouragement. Dave was an easy person to get along with, making friends in every new place he visited. Friends that remembered him even years down the road, choosing to only be positive even during the toughest of times, Dave could lighten the room, bring comfort and peace at mind; selflessly. There was nothing that he loved more than spending time, making, and sharing memories with his friends and family especially his grandchildren. He loved the outdoors and simply found beauty in everything of existence. Dave loved candy, especially Neccos.  He always had a candy cupboard that he kept secret from the grandkids (but they knew).

Dave worked for 23 years for the Darby Lumber Mill, before it closed down. He then operated his own outfitting business, where he was in his element, doing what he loved. Following his outfitting business, he also spent some time doing independent logging jobs with his sons, Chad and Chris, before starting employment with Carson Helicopters.

Dave is preceded in death by his mother, Jenny; father, Leonard; sister, Janet; and son, Chad.

He is survived by his wife, Cam; daughter, Sky (Travis); son, Chris; stepson, Scott (Michelle) Toavs; sisters, Carolyn (Duane)and Jayne (Don); brother, Scott (Laura); daughter-in-law, Rachel (Chad’s wife); as well as his grandchildren, CyAnna, Wylie, Lucille (Chad’s kids); Kloie and Kara (Sky’s kids), Brhiannon, Tyler, and Dillon (Chris’s kids), Bryson and Deacon Toavs (Scott’s kids)

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, October 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church.  Please join the family for a potluck luncheon after services in the fellowship room of the church. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
