Sadly neither tit nor tat

Jerry Esmay of Stevensville, I hear your pain and frustration. I’m just so very sorry that you believe any of that stuff.

It’s true that Nancy Pelosi tore up her copy of the State of the Union Address. It was because she knew from years of experience that the man who read it had no integrity and was neither honest nor sincere.

And it’s true that Democrats refused to compromise when it meant significantly reducing the assistance sorely needed by people unemployed because of the pandemic. The Republican option was unworthy of you and me.

The pandemic, of course, is not the fault of any one person or country, but if the ostensible leader of our country had actually cared and led, we might well not be up to a quarter of a million deaths in 8-9 months.

I believe that you and so many others have been royally conned, and by a man who has gotten away with it for decades because it’s his talent. I’m so sorry and can only urge you to consult more than one source for your news.
