The ninth Grizzly Stadium

October 20, 2020 by Guest Post

By Paul Kink, Stevensville

While it is heartbreaking for me to write this letter, I feel compelled to do so. A letter that I wrote appeared in the Bitterroot Star on September 22, 2020. The title was “Eight Washington Grizzly Stadiums.” The cumulative death toll from COVID-19 in the U.S. had exceeded 200,000. I tried to use a word picture to illustrate this tragic statistic by pointing out the seating capacity of Washington Grizzly Stadium, which is 25,203. That meant that on September 22, 2020, the number of Americans who had died from COVID-19 would fill eight Washington Grizzly Stadiums.

I wondered at the time how our current President and his administration could let this happen?

Now, just 23 days later, another 18,000 of our citizens have died, rapidly on the way to filling Washington Grizzly Stadium number nine!

As I write this on October 16, 2020, there were another 65,327 confirmed new cases just today, and another 793 Americans died from the virus just today!

It is quite obvious that this administration has failed us! The Republican controlled Senate has also failed us, unable to pass any meaningful stimulus package, so desperately needed by us all.

Who are the individuals running for office who have publicly shown their full support of this failed administration?

Let me name them;

Senator Steve Daines

Candidate for Montana Governor, Greg Gianforte

Candidate for Montana Senate District 44, Theresa Manzella

Candidate for U.S. House of Representatives, Matt Rosendale

Can we afford to send these people to Washington and Helena who seem to be very willing enablers of this administration?

I don’t think so! In fact, I think we all need to cast our votes this year like our lives depend on how we vote, and it quite possibly does!

Chances of dying from heart disease and suicide are higher. Where’s your Social Justice Warrior outcry for those people and the causes that contribute to those deaths?

Cigarette smoking (according to the CDC) is the leading cause of preventable disease and death in the United States, accounting for more than 480,000 deaths every year, or about 1 in 5 deaths. Where’s your Social Justice Warrior outcry for those deaths?

Where was your Social Justice Warrior outcry for the flu? Swine flu? Ebola? all the other ‘deadly viruses’ that come and go?

Where’s your Social Justice Warrior outcry over the medical and political misleadings and falsifications of false Covid-19 diagnoses?

Where’s your Social Justice Warrior outcry over people like you screaming “Just wear any mask; it helps!”, even though science has clearly proven the masks are only effective if the correct masks are worn the correct way?

The answer is you’re clearly just ‘parroting’ liberal driven media issues.
