So where is the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce holding its 26th annual Bitterroot Brewfest fundraiser this year? The short answer is: “Lots of places!” As is the case with many non-profit organizations in the valley under restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Chamber has had to get creative in terms of its fundraising efforts this year. The annual brewfest has traditionally been the organization’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
Due to concerns about large gatherings, the Chamber has decided to hold a small event, limited to only 50 people on the grounds of the Daly Mansion. Called the Bitterroot “Small Batch” Brewfest, the limited event is scheduled to happen on October 10th from 5 to 8 pm. There will be hors d’oeuvres by Seppi’s Market and live “Oktoberfest” music. Anyone wishing to attend can purchase tickets for $100 each at the Chamber Office in Hamilton or call 363-2400.
But what about the rest of us? No problem. You can still support the Chamber by joining in the Traveling Bitterroot Brewfest and downing some of your favorite brew. You do it by purchasing an original keepsake Bitterroot Brewfest Commemorative Glass and taking it to any of the participating breweries. Each glass costs $25 and comes with a ticket for five free drinks, one each at each of the participating breweries including: Higherground Brewing, Bitterroot Brewing, Backroad Cider, Bandit Brewing, and Lolo Peak Brewing. The tickets can be used anytime through December 31, 2020.
By signing the back of a ticket when redeeming, you become eligible for drawings at each brewery for a $50 value product, swag or gift card. You also become eligible for one grand prize drawing worth $250.
The glasses are being sold at the Hamilton Farmers Market on the City Hall lawn on Saturday, October 3rd. Commemorative glasses can also be purchased at the Bitterroot Chamber of Commerce office in Hamilton, Eastside Ace Hardware in Stevensville, Florence Ace Hardware, the Wild Mare in Corvallis, Backroad Cider in Hamilton, and Bandit Brewing in Darby.
