Response to Fahnestock-Thomas

July 14, 2020 by Guest Post

By John Gibney, Hamilton

In response to Fahnestock-Thomas, once again she needs a grip on reality! To start, Jesus did not say Blessed are the poor, but Blessed are the poor in spirit, a vast difference, Mary.

We live in a society where all people can get a chance to improve themselves if they choose to do so, and are not disadvantaged as you claim. The blacks have the same rights under the constitution and in many ways more opportunities these days than many whites. If they choose to remain in poverty and on welfare (which includes many whites also) then that is their choice. There are jobs everywhere, just have to get up off the couch and get one.

Public schooling is offered to all children, and if one wants to continue their education scholarships are always there for anyone who looks for them. Cost, you say? I paid off my student loans, so can everyone else. I see no disadvantages in today’s society as it may have been in the past. If you want to claim not all public schools are alike, maybe so, But I attended a high school that was considered one of the worst in the country and yet many went on to become doctors, lawyers and attended college. They just had to apply themselves and study hard.

Most of the BLM that are rioting just want something for nothing and to destroy others’ property and business, mostly because they are bad people. If you have had a life of poverty that does not give you the right to physically hurt others, tear down their business and riot in the street. PS. Many whites have also had disadvantages in society as well as blacks. See this movement for what it is! BLM is a demonic democratic movement to tear down this country and bring in the evils of socialism.
