COVID-Safe Practices Certification Program available for Stevi businesses

July 28, 2020 by Editor

Certification program will help Stevensville businesses operate safely and responsibly as cases of COVID-19 continue to rise in Ravalli County.

In response to the Reopening the Big Sky Plan and the recent mask directive released by Governor Steve Bullock on July 15th, the Town of Stevensville has developed a program to reinforce best-practices and help businesses operate in a COVID-19 world.

The initiative, tabbed the Stevi Safe Certified Program, offers an array of COVID-Safe Practices to help businesses create a safe and responsible environment for employees and customers. The Stevi Safe Certified Program will officially go live later this week and will be available to all businesses within the greater Stevensville area.

Upon demonstrating compliance with the requirements contained in the Altogether Stevensville Plan, businesses will be awarded special recognition. Businesses can then display the “Stevi Safe Certified” badge on their website or storefront to show visitors and residents it is equipped to offer safe and responsible service in a COVID-positive world.

“This program is an opportunity for the Stevensville business community to position Stevensville as a leader for COVID-safe practices as businesses navigate a new way of doing business,” Mayor Brandon Dewey said. “The Town of Stevensville is committed to supporting programs and initiatives that help businesses create safe and responsible environments for everyone.”

According to the Town administration, in order for the local economy to prosper in spite of the impacts felt by the pandemic, adherence to COVID-Safe best practices is critical in avoiding the re-implementation of restrictions similar to those observed earlier in the year.

Some additional benefits for businesses that become Stevi Safe Certified:

• Recognition as a Stevi Safe Certified business

• Usage of the Stevi Safe Certified seal to promote business

• Inclusion in the Stevi Safe Certified business directory

• Participation in the peer learning community to share best practices, troubleshoot common challenges, and access additional resources

• Access to the Stevi Safe Certified resource toolkit

More information on the benefits of becoming Stevi Safe Certified Program are listed on www.stevisafecertified.org. Business owners and managers interested in becoming Stevi Safe Certified can get started at www.stevisafecertified.org.
