Bullock is wrong for Montana

July 14, 2020 by Guest Post

By Jason Ellsworth, Hamilton

Being a U.S. Senator is no small job; those elected are entrusted to be one among 100 of the most important individuals in our country, tasked with some of the most influential decisions of government for at least six years. The decision to run is not one that should be taken lightly – but for Steve Bullock, it was.

For most of 2019, Steve Bullock’s number one focus was carrying on with his doomed Presidential bid – joining the Senate race at the 11th hour after months of denials and waffling. If it was that hard for Bullock to make up his mind on a job this big, I can’t trust him with my vote this fall.

Meanwhile, Daines has been consistent in the work he’s done for the citizens of Montana. He kept his word on nearly everything, working hard to win permanent funding for the LWCF, fighting to win the Little Shell Tribe Federal recognition, and securing crucial funding for Montana’s health organizations during the coronavirus pandemic. Since day one in D.C., he has prioritized government accountability, service to our veterans, and the growth of our economy.

Daines’ yes means yes and his no means no. The same can’t be said for Governor Bullock. Daines is a strong leader we can trust, and I’ll be supporting his re-election this November.
