The divisional wrestling tournaments were held over the weekend for all classes. The top individuals in each weight class will now move on to the All-Class State Wrestling Tournament in Billings at the Metra this week. The top eight wrestlers in each weight bracket will advance to the tournament for Class A.
At 103 pounds, Hamilton’s Andrew Carmody was pinned by Frenchtown’s Landon Stewart. Also advancing at this weight is Kiera Davis of Corvallis who finished eighth. At 113 pounds, Hamilton’s SethAllen finished sixth and will advance Jesse Anson who was third in divisional. Corvallis’ Johnathan Williams finished fifth. Corvallis’ Kanyon Stoker finished seventh at 120.
Corvallis will have two wrestlers at 132 pounds in state. James Wissenbach finished third at this weight and Jason Davis finished fifth. At 138 pounds, Hamilton’s Cole Anson finished third. Corvallis’ Nate Davis was seventh.
At 145 pounds, Triston Davis continued to dominate with a pin over Ronan’s Kolby Reum. Stevensville’s Aaron Springer finished sixth at this weight. At 152 pounds, Hamilton’s Ethan Cramer finished seventh. Stevensville’s Dylan Janes was eighth, and Ethan Chavez of Corvallis finished third.
Hamilton’s Bridger Williams took first at 160 pounds. At 170 pounds, Noah Hurst came back from an injury to finished fourth. Cody Fisher, also of Hamilton, was sixth. Bryce Weidow of Corvallis was seventh in that weight division.
Stevensville’s Sahkaia Wehr finished in fifth place at 182 pounds. Also competing at that weight at state will be Corvallis’ Ben Holtzen. Cadogan Wheat of Hamilton finished fifth at 20-5 and will move on. In the heavyweight division, Hamilton’s Brock Jones finished third.
Florence will send seven wrestlers on to Billings. Avery Meinzen finished first at 160 pounds. Kyler Alm finished first at 182 pounds. Kyler Bates finished fourth at 113 pounds. Oliver Post was second at 120. Adyn Meinzen finished third at 132 pounds. Jared Pallo was fourth at 205 and O’Maste Foster finished third at 285 pounds.
