Hamilton lost a tough game on Thursday night to Frenchtown but rallied back for a non conference win over Polson. The Broncs lost to Frenchtown, 57-55, in a thriller in Frenchtown.
Hamilton took an early lead in the game, outscoring Frenchtown by four in the frame. But Frenchtown came back to take the lead throughout the rest of the game. Hamilton coach Travis Blome said Frenchtown’s team is one of the more athletic teams in the state. “They’ve played together quit a bit, and they’re going to a tough match for anyone.”
He said Frenchtown just connected on a few more plays at the end of the game than his team did. “I was proud of our guys for staying and playing together.”

Friday night, the Broncs took on the Polson Pirates. Polson built up an 8 point lead before Polson got on the board. Hamilton continued to shoot and sent up several long range shots. Polson took a run at Hamilton in the second quarter and got within two points before Hamilton went on a scoring run.
Polson was never really out of the game and pulled within four points a couple of times late in the game. “Polson is well coached, a good team,” said Blome. “We knew it was going to be a battle tonight. We are just proud of our guys to maintain their composure and play through some adversity at the end.”
He said his team kept their heads down and plowed through the fouls and missed shots late in the game but then came back to hit their free throws when it counted.

Florence topped ARlee, 62-51. The Falcons were tied at the end of the first quarter with the Warriors but battled and came through in the fourth for the win. Eli Pedersen had 23 points to propel the Falcons to the win.

Darby continued to win with a victory over Valley Christian and one over Charlo. The Tigers moved up in the conference with a 61-45 win over Valley Christian. Nelson Smith had 28 points while Preston Smith had 12 points. Jordan Anderson had nine points, Gabe Smith had six points and Tyler Davis had six points.
Nelson Smith had 24 points for Darby against Charlo while Preston Smith had 17, Gabe Smith had 13 and Tyler Davis had 14 points. Danner Davis added five and William Martin finished out the Tiger scoring with two points.
