The Corvallis Blue Devils came out strongly on Thursday night in their game against the Stevensville Yellowjackets and built upon that lead to notch a 59-35 Southwestern A conference win. The Blue Devils held Stevensville to only one point in the first quarter while scoring 15 themselves.
Stevensville had a difficult time containing Tanner Jessop and his outside shooting. He finished the night with 20 points. Caleb Warnken and Cole Trexler found the inside range for the Blue Devils and combined for 28 points. Stevensville’s Sean Craft put up 11 points to lead the ‘Jackets.

Stevensville fell to Columbia Falls, 55-36, in non conference action. Ethan Shobe and Sean Craft each had seven points to lead Stevensville.

Hamilton topped Ronan in non conference play on Thursday. After leading for much of the first three quarters, the Broncs had to hold off a surging Ronan team in the fourth quarter. Hamilton went on to win, 57-52. Ronan scored 23 points in the final frame, 10 more than Hamilton. Carson Rostad had 17 points for Hamilton and Trey Searle added 15 more.

Florence traveled to Shelby where they took on the host team and came away with a win. JP Briney paced the Falcons with 20 points. Beau Neal added 17 and Eli Pederson had 11 in the 67-54 win.

Victor played two non conference games over the weekend. They lost to Drummond at home, 52-27. On Saturday, they lost to Hot Springs, 51-21. Carson Varner, a sophomore, led the team in scoring both days with 12 points on Friday against Drummond, and he had 16 points against Hot Springs.
