The Lady Falcons of Florence came out playing tough against Stevensville and finished the game the same way. They defeated the Lady Yellowjackets, 57-30.
Florence’s senior guard, Danielle Zahn, got things moving for Florence with a couple of steals and baskets. She scored six of her 15 points in the first frame. By the end of the quarter, Florence was up by nine points and they continued to build on that lead.
Zahn led all scorers with 15 points, and she was followed by Rilee Mangun with 14 points. Angel Richards had eight points for Stevensville.

The Stevensville ‘Jackets got off to a quick start with Colby Meeds and Logan Roth finding the bucket early. But Florence battled back behind the shooting of Jake Round who finished with 12 points and the two teams were tied at the end of the first half.
The game was very close and physical with several scrums on the floor. Meeds made four of nine free throws for the ‘Jackets and Roth added five more including a couple of crucial free throws. Time ran out with Stevensville taking the 41-38 non conference win.

The Lady Yellowjackets of Stevensville defeated Dillon, 50-40, in Dillon on Saturday. Consistent scoring by the Stevensville team was the key to their victory. LeCoure had 15 points and Richards added 12.

Florence topped Anaconda in 6B action on Saturday, 57-43. Zahn had 16 points to lead Florence and Mangun and Liles each had 15 for the win.
