Boys basketball round up

The Stevensville Yellowjackets had a tough go against the Butte Central Maroons on Saturday. Stevensville opened with a zone defense and were able to slow the Maroons down for a bit but could not get their own offense going. Butte Central won, 80-47. Colby Meeds led the ‘Jackets with 18 points.

Stevensville: Logan Roth 11, Devlin Sherman 11, Tanner Pendergast 5, Ivan Yazvak 1, Colby Meeds 18, Riley Rust 3, Gavin Beeton 6.

Hamilton defeated Loyola, 73-66, in non conference action. Hamilton jumped out to an early lead and had a 20 point lead at the half. Loyola did claw their way back in the second half. Tanner Goligoski dropped in 18 points to lead Hamilton and Hunter Omlid added 16.

Hamilton: Camron Rothie 7, Tyler Barnes 5, Tyler Burrows 2, Trey Searle 12, Carson Rostad 13, Hunter Omlid 16, Tanner Goligoski 18.

Darby took on Salmon, Idaho, on Friday night. The Tigers took an early lead and built upon that to take a 79-56 win in non c inference action. Dylan Parks scored 36 points for Darby with Brandon Winters adding another 15.
