The Corvallis Blue Devils finished third behind Billings Central and Belgrade at the Class A volleyball tournament in Bozeman. After losing to Billings Central in their second match of the tournament, the Corvallis team had to work their way back up the loser’s bracket. They topped Hardin and Libby before running into Belgrade in the third place game.
Corvallis pushed Belgrade in the match and even won the second game. Maureen Jessop had 18 kills in the match and Hannah Hutchison had five blocks and two aces.

Corvallis defeated Libby, 25-22, 25-18, 25-21, on Saturday, which put Libby in fourth place. Jessop had11 kills and the Blue Devils had 10 aces.
In their opening match, the Blue Devils dominated Glendive and won in three games. Jessop finished with 12 kills.

Corvallis’ second game of the tournament was against Billings Central, the eventual Class A champion. Corvallis came out strong and won the first game, 23-25. However, the Lady Rams came back to win the next three games, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20, and the match. The two teams were evenly matched. Corvallis had 49 kills and Billings Central had 46, Corvallis had 105 digs and Billings Central had 109. Hannah Martin had five of Corvallis’ nine aces.
