The Victor Lady Pirate volleyball team has a new coach after just a few weeks into the season. Victor alumni Skye Mitcham, who has been the assistant coach at Stevensville and at Victor in the last few years, took over as the head coach. She said her team has made the adjustment quite well and is beginning to have some fun on the court.

The Lady Pirates played Lincoln on Friday. After losing the first game of the match, Victor rallied back to win the second game, 26-24, with some tenacious plays at the net even though the Lynx had one six foot tall player. Victor took the next two games to win their first match of the season.

Madison Allred served several aces. Rebecka Shaffer, a 5’5” junior, was tough at the net with several kills. She kept the ball in play so Allred and Sophie Pearson were able to make some kills.
