I am a veteran voting for Jon Tester because of his longstanding support of veterans. My family and I have lived in Ravalli County since 1981. Over the years I have been involved in many issues affecting veterans including drafting and supporting county bond issues that help veterans. For five years I served on the board of a Ravalli County nonprofit established specifically to help aid veterans. This allowed me to see firsthand Jon Tester’s dedication to helping on a local level. In Congress, Jon has also been a champion for veterans and their families.
I also support Jon Tester because he will fight to protect Social Security and Medicare which protects veterans as well as their families. Many veterans like myself having been paying into Social Security for over 50 years. Jon’s opponent wants to deny us the Social Security benefits we have earned and also eliminate Medicare. Not only unfair, this will be grossly destructive to our country. In Congress, Jon will continue to stand like a rock to protect and defend veterans, their families and all the citizens of our great country.
