Stevi plays tough but falls to Wildkats

The Columbia Falls Wildkats may have won their match against Stevensville but they also knew they had been in a tough match. Stevensville played a scrappy game and never once let up. In the first game, Columbia Falls pulled ahead but the Lady ‘Jackets came right back with Quinn Larson and Maddy Weber making sets that allowed Angel Richards and Sarah Nalls to make the kill. Columbia Falls won, 25-22.

Stevensville took an early lead in the second game until Wildkat Savvy Ellis stepped up to serve. She served two quick aces and turned the tide. But then Richards served a couple of aces and Stevi was within one point. The two teams battled back and forth until a tap by Nalls tied the game at 22-all. A service error by Stevensville gave Columbia Falls the edge and they went on to win the game, 26-24.

In the third game, Columbia Falls came back and quickly built a lead but Stevi clawed their way back into it. Ceciliea Hoornbeek served up an ace ti tie the game at 19 all but again, the Wildkats pulled ahead and Stevensville just couldn’t catch up. Final, 25-21.
