The Hamilton Lady Broncs cruised through the Laverne Invitational in Butte over the weekend, notching four wins in two days. On Friday, Hamilton topped Sidney, 10-1, in five innings. Jorden Taggart was in the circle and struck out six batters. Tessa Della Silva had a home run and two RBIs. Kelsie Meis had two doubles and a RBI. Maggie Ringer had two RBIs. Caitlin Dillon, Mallory McGill and Alivia Drake all had RBIs.
In Hamilton’s second game of the day, the Lady Broncs edged by the Libby Loggers, 5-4, for the win. Sky Lopez was the winning pitcher. Meis had two hits including a home run and four RBIs. Sophia Doyle had two its ad Dillon had one.
On Saturday, Hamilton held off a late run by Havre to take the 6-3 win. Lopez took the win for Hamilton. Hamilton jumped out to an early lead when Meis knocked a two-RBI double in to score.
It was back to Taggart in the circle for the game against Livingston which was a 10-0 blowout for the Lady Broncs. McGill and Meis each knocked a home run and had three RBIs each. Della Silva knocked a double and had two RBIs.
Stevensville split their games on Friday. They picked up a 9-7 win over Livingston and then lost to Miles City, 12-10. Mikayla Newman was the winning pitcher over Livingston. Jessie Newman had a double and two RBIs. Maddie Sims had a double and an RBI. Claire Montague knocked in two runners. Taylor Springer and Mikayla Newman each had an RBI.
Miles City got the better of Stevi in their second game on Friday, stopping the Yellowjackets, 12-10. Sarah Morrison was the losing pitcher. Tara Melassi had two hits, including a double and a home run and an RBI. Montague had two RBIs and two hits, including a double.
Sidney edged Stevensville, 13-12, on Saturday. Haley Kampka blasted a two-run homer that gave the ‘Jackets some momentum but they couldn’t keep it going.
Corvallis picked up a one-run win over Glendive on Friday, topping them, 7-6. Kayla Fields was the winning pitcher. Ashlynn Nixon had a home run and an RBI. Sami Knapp had a hit and an RBI. Daphney Renoseau hit a double for the Blue Devils.
Corvallis lost to Sidney, 16-10. Reili Paddock and Nixon each had three RBIs for the Blue Devils. Corvallis topped Browning, 16-4.
Florence picked up two wins on Friday. They topped Miles City, 11-2, in five innings. Brianna Hoffman was the winning pitcher. Hoffman and Brooklyn Little each slammed a home run. The two also drove in three runners each.
Florence’s second game on Friday was against Laurel. Shannon Byrne was the winning pitcher for Florence in the 13-1 five-inning game. Brooklyn Little knocked another homer as did Destiny Greer. Little had four RBIs, Natalie Dulac had three hits, MacKenzie Little had two hits and two RBIs. Danica and Destini Greer each had two RBIS.
Florence lost to Havre, 10-5, on Saturday. Dulac had a homer and a double for the Lady Falcons.
Florence’s last game was against Libby and it was a defensive struggle. Hoffman struck out 11 batters and took the 2-1 win for the Lady Falcons. MacKenzie Little had a double and an RBI. Danara Greer also knocked in a Florence runner.
