The Corvallis Blue Devils are coming together on the court. They picked up a win over Stevensville on Thursday and another on Friday on the road in Whitefish.
Although Stevensville started strongly, two three pointers by Ridge Albright and one by Kobe Jessop shifted the momentum to Corvallis. Stevensville pulled with in four points with less than five minutes remaining in the game after Dalton Brag hit two free throws but then Corvallis went to work. They finished with a 54-45 win. Albright led the Blue Devils with 17 points including five treys. Rial Jessop added 16 points. Corvallis also beat Whitefish, 58-44 in a non conference game.
Hamilton knocked off the Frenchtown Broncs, 87-68. Hamilton led by only one point at the end of the half but then went to work on defense in the third quarter, holding Frenchtown to only 12 points while scoring 22. Carter Kearns led Hamilton with 23 points. Tanner Goligoski added 16. Hamilton improved to 15-0 with the win.

It was a tough weekend for the Florence Falcons. With leading scorer Marcus Zeiler ill, the Falcons struggled against Deer Lodge on Friday night. Florence jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the game but Deer Lodge’s Dylon McDermid found his three point range and by the end of the quarter, the Wardens were up, 12-7. Deer Lodge went on to win, 56-41.
Parker Hotsinpiller, Zach Christopherson and Brent Stroppel all had 11 points for the Falcons.

On Saturday, Anaconda came to Florence bringing with them, the state’s leading scorer this year, Braxton Hill. Behind Hill’s 30 points, Anaconda won, 76-20. Hotsinpiller led the Falcons with seven points.

Stevensville fell to Dillon, 61-52, on Saturday. The Beavers jumped out to an 11 point lead in the first quarter, forcing the Yellowjackets to play catch up the rest of the game. In the second half, Stevensville outscored Dillon but it was not enough. Bragg dropped in 15 points to lead the ‘Jackets.

Victor lost to Valley Christian, 61-49. The Pirates were up at the half by three but lost momentum in the third quarter. Mason Agee and Will Jessop each had 15 points to lead the Pirates.
