The Hamilton Lady Broncs won one game and lost a game over the weekend. Hamilton, who was ranked No. 2 in the state, lost to Columbia Falls, the No. 1 ranked team in the state. Hamilton’s record is now 12-1.
Hamilton and Corvallis met on Thursday after the boys’ game in Corvallis. The Lady Broncs are fast on both offense and defense and they quickly set the tone of the game. Hamilton won, 58-30. Cariann Kunkel finished with 15 points to lead the Lady Broncs. Calla Haldorson paced the Blue Devils with 13 points.

On Saturday, the Columbia Falls WildKats came to Hamilton. Hamilton took an early lead but the Wildkats came back in the second quarter to take the lead and go on to win, 46-33. Kunkel was held to only eight points.

The Florence Lady Falcons also are ranked in the top ten in Class B at No. 4 behind Three Forks, Poplar and Townsend. They took on Loyola in another rivalry game on Thursday. Loyola came out and took and early lead. They were ahead by four points at the half. But Coach Duane Zeiler inspired his team in the locker room and the Lady Falcons came out on fire. They outscored the Breakers by 12 points in the third quarter to take the lead. Florence went on to win, 66-57. Danielle Zahn and Rilee Mangun each scored 19 points and Makenna Liles added 16 more in the win.

Florence improved their record to 10-0 with a 44-37 win over Troy on Saturday. The Lady Falcons had to dig themselves out of a hole in the first quarter when Troy scored 18 points to Florence’s five points. But the Lady Falcons found their stride and held Troy to only one point in the second quarter and no points in the third quarter. Mangun had 16 points and Zahn added 15 points.

The Lady Tigers of Darby topped Victor, 55-14. MacKenzie Smith led Darby with 13 points. Madison Allred had eight points for Victor.

Darby won a close game against Lincoln on Saturday. The Lady Tigers held off the Lady Lynx to win, 59-54. Lincoln outscored Darby by eight in the final frame but couldn’t get the win. Casey Ehmann had 16 points and Shianne Kauk added 13 more in the win.

Corvallis lost to Dillon, 51-21. Hadli Lords, Tayler Wright and Lilly Berry each had four points for Corvallis.
