The match between the Bigfork Vikings and the Florence Falcons was one of the top matches of the weekend. Bigfork is ranked No. 1 in the state and Florence is ranked No. 6. Bigfork is undefeated and Florence went into the game with an 8-2 record.
The Vikings came out on fire and quickly built up a lead while holding the Falcons to only six points in the first quarter. They went on to win, 85-53. Marcus Zeiler had 25 points and Brent Stroppel finished with 14 points.

The game between the Lady Falcons and the Vals was much closer. In fact, the game went to overtime before Bigfork pulled away for the 67 – 59 win. The teams were tied at 17 at the end of the first period and then Florence had a two point lead at the half. By the end of regulation play, the score was 56 all. However it was all Bigfork in overtime. Florence was led by Danielle Zahn’s 19 points.

On Friday, the Falcons took on Corvallis in a valley match up. Corvallis took an early lead but the Falcons came back in the second quarter to take the lead. They went on to win, 64-51. Zeiler had 20 points and Stroppel dropped in 18. Ryan Wiggins led the Blue Devils with 21 points and Garrett Brown finished with 12 points.

The Lady Falcons also won their game against Corvallis. Corvallis struggled in the second quarter and couldn’t get their offense going after leading at the end of the first quarter. Florence’s tough defense stopped the Blue Devils again in the fourth quarter and the Lady Falcons went on to win, 55-42. Calla Haldorson led the Blue Devils with 18 points. Zahn paced Florence with 21 points and Rilee Mangun finished with 15.
