A Florence/Loyola basketball game is guaranteed to fill the gym. The rivalry has always been fierce and full of excitement. The game on Thursday night was no different. Florence took an early lead but then the Rams went to work behind the play. Of Jack Lincoln who scored 24 points. Loyola went on to win, 61-53. Marcus Zeiler had 19 points for Florence and Brent Stroppel added 15.

On Saturday, Florence turned around and rolled over Troy, 72-38. The Falcons jumped out early and controlled the game. Stroppel finished with 21 points to lead the Falcons.

Butte Central came to Stevensville on Saturday. Stevensville stayed with the Maroons for the first quarter but were unable to overcome a 17 point deficit at the half. Butte Central won, 62-43. Stevensville pulled within 12 points a couple of times in the second half but just could not get their shots to fall. Logan Roth led the Yellowjackets with 20 points.

In another valley rivalry game, Darby topped Victor, 66-57. Darby had three players in double figures. Nelson Smith had 18 points, Dylan Parks scored 17 and Gabe Smith had 15 points. Victor was led by Tristan Chavez’ 15 points. Mason Agee had 10.

Darby picked up their second win of the weekend with a n 82-59 win over Lincoln. Parks finished with 33 points. Brandon Winter had 20 and Smith finished with 18 points in the win.
