Marion ‘Pic’ Potter

December 5, 2017 by Editor

Stevensville  –  Marion “Pic” Potter, 95, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at The Living Centre in Stevensville.

Pic was born on January 26, 1922 at the Bass Creek ranch to her parents Mario and Mary Feronato.  She was their fourth daughter.

She developed a great work ethic working in the fields, riding horses, cooking for the hay crews, gardening and sewing.  These values stayed with her all her life.

She married Frank Potter on November 22, 1944 and was blessed with three daughters, Mary, Nancy and Jackie. She lived her entire life in Stevensville and enjoyed her garden, flowers and even sold night crawlers to all the fishermen!

She was an avid bridge player, loved bingo, garage sales and fishing. She also volunteered many years at the Clothes Closet (free store).

Frank preceded her in death along with her sisters, Alba Carls, Teresa Cochran, Fran Ruffatto and Babe Ruffatto, as well as her parents.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Ron) Terwilliger, Nancy Lowell and Jackie Potter. Also surviving are her grandkids, Kevin and Chris Terwilliger and families, Jamie Lowell, Jay Lowell and Mario Carmazzi, Athena Farr and Fran Farr. She also has three great-grandklds, Aksel Sorenson and Casey and Trevor Terwilliger, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request no service will be held but if you desire, you may donate to the Clothes Closet (free store) in care of Molly Hackett, 1384 Meridian Road, Victor MT 59875.  “A huge thank you to all the staff at The Living Centre for their compassion and loving care of Mom.”  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
