Support for Manzella

November 14, 2017 by Guest Post

This letter is written in response to the letter from Carlotta Grandstaff of the Bitterrooters for Planning organization. I find her letter very distasteful for several reasons and I’ll address those reasons in the following paragraphs.

First of all, it should be obvious to everyone who lived through this past summer that the wildfires in late July and August presented us with a very unhealthy air quality situation. Thirty-nine days of unhealthy air caused emergency rooms to fill up with citizens having difficulty coping with the dirty smoke-filled air. The poor management of public lands is the reason for this unhealthful situation. Theresa Manzella is one of a few people I have found willing to tell the truth about the unhealthy effects of the smoke that filled our valley for over a month. The current management of public lands is the most obvious cause of this unhealthy situation. Ms. Grandstaff’s organization apparently supports the idea that your health is of little to no importance in the overall picture. Ms. Grandstaff apparently thinks that dead trees left standing to burn in forest fires take precedence over the health of citizens. She’s resisting every effort to remedy this situation by maintaining the status quo.

A look at Bitterrooters for Planning’s website seems to show that they want to deny private property owners their constitutional right to do with their property as they desire. This group apparently is anti-constitutional in nature and apparently is just another group that would threaten your constitutional right to private property.

Since Ms. Grandstaff opened the subject of the Bundy family, I’ll be glad to refresh her memory. Cliven Bundy’s land in Nevada was rich with uranium. In view of the fact that Hillary Clinton was involved in a transaction to sell uranium to Russians, any reasonable person can see that the corrupt administration of the Obama/Clinton regime was out to seize the Bundy property to take those uranium deposits. This is another example of how Ms. Grandstaff and her organization does not value private property rights. In other words, Ms. Grandstaff supports Hillary Clinton’s corrupt schemes. Karen Budd-Falen was defending Cliven Bundy’s family against the unconstitutional seizure of the Bundy family property which had been held for generations. I would consider Ms. Budd-Falen a hero for challenging corruption in her defense of Cliven Bundy. Ms. Grandstaff’s comments about the Bundy family are just further evidence that her group is opposed to the western way of life of ranchers who have worked their land for generations.

In closing, Theresa Manzella and her husband Kenny Lengyel are two of the most giving people I have met in Ravalli County. They are always finding ways to help others, including giving money to needy families. My wife and I stand behind Theresa, with hundreds of other reasonable citizens of Ravalli County who have common sense.
