ABC Clinic
The annual Assistance for Business Clinic (ABC) will be held Wednesday, October 4 at the Bitterroot River Inn in Hamilton.
The clinic is hosted by Montana Department of Labor & Industry, Department of Revenue, and Montana Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve, Chamber of Commerce, Job Service Employee Committees (JSEC), and Montana State University. This hands-on clinic is specially designed to assist new and established employers, accountants, bookkeepers, human resource professionals and lawyers by providing a broader understanding and/or steps to implement the latest changes to various law, rules and regulations. Stevi Garden Club

Church Leaders Conference
“The Carpenter’s Unfinished Work: Jesus as Change-Agent” is the theme for Montana Bible College’s annual Church Leaders Conference on October 5-6 in Bozeman. Jesus changed hearts and lives when He walked the dusty roads of Israel two millennia ago. Although our landscape looks very different than that of first century Israel, Jesus is still changing hearts and lives today, and the commission He gave us puts us right in the front lines of what He is doing. Featured speakers are Bill Mills, International Speaker & Trainer, Joel Zaborowski, Leadership Developer, and Micah, Forsythe, MBC Director of Discipleship. Grandparenting seminar

Square dance
Boots & Calico Square Dance Club will be hosting Barry Bartlette as the featured caller for its Mainstream dance on Saturday, October 7 at the Golden Age Center, 5th & Baker Streets, Hamilton. Don Scheline will be providing the Round dance music. The club is changing its hours for the winter: Pre rounds/plus dancing from 5:30 to 6 p.m., Mainstream dancing from 6 to 8 p.m. This earlier time should make it easier for dancers to come out during the winter.
Saturday Bingo
Hamilton Senior Center will be hosting a Special Saturday Bingo on October 7. Doors open at 12 noon, play starts at 1 p.m. Paper cards will be used. Must be 18 to play. Call Cathy, 375-9276, with questions.
Knights of Columbus fundraiser
A Captain’s Dinner benefit hosted by the Knights of Columbus will be held on Saturday, October 7 at the St. Mary’s Family Center in Stevensville. Happy Hour begins at 5:30 p.m., dinner is served at 6:30. Raffle, silent auction, 50/50 and live music. Adults $15 children 12 and under $7.00. All proceeds fund Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets for local families and cold weather duffles for local homeless veterans.

Rotary Club
Sonya Bitterman, Coalition Coordinator for SAFE’s Annual White Ribbon Campaign, will be speaking at the next meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club, on Monday, October 9 at 12 noon at BJ’s Restaurant, 900 N. 1st in Hamilton. Sonya will be speaking about the October Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every October, SAFE and the Ravalli County Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence hold a week-long White Ribbon Campaign to raise awareness of intimate partner violence and its impacts on our community. Corvallis school levy meeting
The Corvallis School District will be holding a Community Conversation regarding the upcoming levy to purchase the REC property on Tuesday, October 10 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the High School Library. Come learn more about the proposed purchase and the details that will help you understand the needs of the District. The Board of Trustees and the Superintendent will be available to answer your questions during this time. The Community Conversation will be followed by the regularly scheduled monthly school board meeting at 7 p.m.
Square dance lessons

Crossing the Threshold of Aging: A Circle of Trust
Scientists say aging begins at birth, but we don’t usually think much about this quiet process until retirement, a parent’s death, a complaining body or other reminders that our aging is well underway while we weren’t paying attention. Begin a six-week journey to reflect each week on different themes moving into aging, such as entering a new frontier, living our unlived lives, walking toward our fears, tending to wounds of loss and grief and accessing our unique elder wisdom. Various reflection techniques will be incorporated to help you access your inner wisdom.
