Daniel C. Cranston

Stevensville – Daniel C. Cranston, 73, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. He was born December 22, 1943 in Spokane, WA the son of Ivan R. and Helen E. Cranston.
Dan graduated from Stevensville High School in 1962. On September 31, 1967 he married Louise S. Sloan in Missoula. In May of 1967 he started Cranston Plastics with his parents which he proudly ran for over 50 years.

 

Dan was very involved with various community organizations and services. Outside of working hard at the business, Dan enjoyed his family, friends, the community of Stevensville. His hobby was his love of cars and the people he met at various events and shows that shared the same passion. He was a devoted husband to his beautiful wife Louise, they will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary together in Heaven.

 

Dan is survived by his son, Kevin Cranston, of Coeur d’Alene, ID, a daughter Melissa and husband Steve Timmer of Zimmerman, MN, beloved granddaughter Megan, brothers Ray and Ellie Cranston of Brea, CA, and Denny and Nancy Cranston of Hayden, ID; nephews John Cranston of Hamilton, MT, Robbie Cranston of Brea, CA, Mark Cranston of Portland, OR and niece Gina Jordan of Tacoma, WA.

 

A funeral service will be held September 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Whitesitt Funeral Home in Stevensville.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Stevensville Community Foundation. P.O. Box 413, Stevensville MT 59870. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.whitesittfuneralhome.com.
