Community Band concert
The Bitterroot Community Band performs its final concert of the season featuring marches, Broadway, classical and popular music on Wednesday, August 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the bandshell in Claudia Driscoll Park in Hamilton. The concert is free and open to the public.

Weed Management talk
Land being overrun by weeds? Christy Schram from the Ravalli County Weed District is the guest speaker at the North Valley Public Library on Thursday, August 24 from 2 to 3 p.m. Christy will talk about noxious weeds in our area, how to identify them, and how to control them using an integrated weed management plan. If you do not want certain plants in your garden, come to this free information session to find out the best way to eradicate them from your property. Williams benefit
There will be a benefit Duck Race and Silent Auction on Saturday, August 26 beginning at 12 noon at the Corvallis Tavern in Corvallis. The benefit is to help pay medical bills for the family of six year old Liam Williams, who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, a type of cancer. Liam is the nephew of Shawn and Alice Thacker of Corvallis. The event will feature a duck race at 1 p.m., a silent auction from 12 noon until 6 p.m., live music from 4 to 8 p.m., and a potluck from 6 to 8 p.m. Come and support this worthwhile cause. Center for Spiritual Living
“Spontaneous Love” with Luanne Cathey, a long-time spiritual seeker, Bible scholar, and CSL Core Council and Band member, will be presented at the Sunday Service on August 27 at 9:30 a.m. at 328 Fairgrounds Road, across from Hamilton High School. Luanne will share her experience in seeing behind fault to the reason behind it – a place of neither judgment nor blame – the Cause behind the cause. Come hear these enlightening ideas and sing uplifting songs. Victor Museum Ice Cream Social
Victor Heritage Museum is holding its annual Ice Cream Social on Sunday, August 27 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. The event is a thank you to the community and the museum supporters. This year Claudia and Carl from Pioneer Carriage will be bringing their horses and wagon to give hay rides around Victor. Come and enjoy the camaraderie and treats with your friends and neighbors and enjoy an old fashioned hay ride. The Museum is located on the corner of Main and Blake Streets in downtown Victor. David Lodwig, Chaplain, Missoula Police Department, and Pastor of River Valley Church, will be the speaker for the next meeting of the Hamilton Rotary Club, on Monday, August 28, at 12 noon at BJ’s Restaurant, 900 N. 1st Street, Hamilton. Benefit food booth
Do you remember how great those wonderful fresh, fluffy and delicious baked potatoes tasted last year? Spuds R Us is back at the Ravalli County Fair! Look for the bright yellow banner on food row! Spuds R Us is made up of volunteers from the Corvallis Grange, Bitter Root Humane Association, Daly Mansion and Historic St. Mary’s Mission. These groups have come together to raise money for their worthy causes. All proceeds from the food booth will support these organizations. For more info call Michele at 363-5449.
