Hamilton softballers remain unbeaten

The Hamilton Lady Broncs took on the powerful Polson Pirates at Polson on Saturday and came away with a one run victory. The Lady Broncs held off Polson in the final inning to take the 8-7  win behind the pitching of Sky Lopez. They improved to 6-0.
Hamilton scored three of their runs in the second inning and three more in the fourth inning. Their final two runs were in the fifth inning. Polson scored three runs in the third inning one in the fourth and three in the fifth. Hayley Hudgins had a home run, a triple and a double,  and three RBIs in the win. She went 3-for-3 at bat. Rachel Richardson, who went. 3-for-4, had a double and an RBI. Kelsie Meis, who went 2-for-3, had two RBIs.
Hamilton also defeated Loyola, 13-3. Lopez was the winning pitcher. Richardson went 3-for-4 with a home run and five RBIs. Rachael Ringer went 1-for-2 with a home run and an RBI.
Florence is also off to a strong start. Their only loss was a non conference loss to Frenchtown. On Saturday, the Lady Falcons rattled the bats and took a 16-4 win over Ronan. Shay Waldbillig was the winning pitcher. Brooklyn Little went 1-for-3 with a triple and three RBIs. Shannon Byrne also had a triple and an RBI. Natalie Dulac went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Jewell Zeiler went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Chloe Arthur, Danara Greer, Kali Leibenguth, and Emily Kinnaman all had RBIs.
Florence picked up a win over St. Ignatius, 9-4. Waldbillig was the starting pitcher and was relieved by Brianna Hoffman in the second inning. Hoffman was credited with the win. Kinnaman, who went 3-for-4, had a home run and two RBIs. Arthur had a double and two RBIs. Little knocked a triple and had two RBIs.
Stevensville topped Corvallis, 20-17. The two teams combined for 31 hits in the game. Sarah Morrison took the win for the Lady ‘Jackets. Sam Hambrick went 2-for-5 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Haley Kampala had a double and an RBI. Blue Devil Corinne Sanderson went 3-for-3 at bat, had a double and three RBIs. Maria Hickey went 3-for-4 for the Blue Devils and had four RBIs.
