Stevensville – Christina L. (Rodman) McElhaney, 75, of Stevensville, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017 at Community Hospital in Missoula. She was born August 1, 1941 in Bend, Oregon, the daughter of the late Fred and Ora (Merrifield) Rodman.
Christina grew up in the Central Oregon area and worked in retail, specializing in beauty and fashion (Chris’s Pharmacy, Fred Meyer and JC Penny).
Christina met her husband, Jim McElhaney in Culver, OR where he whisked her off her feet and moved her to Las Vegas, NV where they married on September 20, 1997.
In 2007, Christina and Jim retired and moved back to the Bitterroot Valley. Christina enjoyed her family, community, reading, and visiting with friends.
Christina is survived by her husband, Jim McElhaney of Stevensville; her step-kids, Mike McElhaney (Lisa) of Salmon, ID, and Joanna Phillips (Robert) of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandkids and two great grandkids; two nieces, Kim Braun (Bruce) of Eugene, OR, and Kay Stanley (Scott) of Chicago, IL; all of whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Whitesitt Funeral Home. A reception followed.
