Obama to blame

February 21, 2017 by Guest Post

I am not on the internet but very much wish to communicate my feelings to Mary Fahnestock-Thomas of Hamilton.
When candidate Obama said he would fundamentally change our country, the alarm bells went off. I see my country as being the most charitable, generous nation this world has ever known. We have been a beacon of hope and democracy since our founding.
When Obama went around the world apologizing for the the U.S. – yes, we have made our mistakes but our good far outweighs the bad – I was disgusted.
At our inception much of the world practiced slavery and some still do. We corrected that evil and for that I am proud. It has been a mighty struggle, much loss of life, but we saw a truly great turnaround in the election of a black president. But after eight years under President Obama, racism is on the rise again. Instead of pointing to the fact that there are many blacks now in high positions – doctors, lawyers, government – he declared, “We are a racist nation.”
This man had a golden opportunity to bring us together and still does. There were no riots that I remember when he went into office. He should come forward and denounce the Left for their disruptive riots and marches.
As President Obama’s past was revealed, I was alarmed. His parentage was Communist, religion Muslim, associations a Reverend Wright who God-d—-d America and a fundraiser for him named Bill Ayers and his wife who were ‘60s anarchists who blew up a police station.
There are instances in which President Obama made statements in which he was clearly misguided or flat out lying. Both Obama and Janet Napolitano (an Obama appointee) said the border was under control. I have spent four winter months near that border for 20 years and know absolutely that is not true. Just one example of misleading us.
Instead of denigrating our past, I can cite many sacrifices we have made for this world we live in, a great leakage of blood and treasure. WWI, WWII, South Korea when it was invaded by the North, South Vietnam asked for our help, Kuwait when invaded by Iraq. We are always the biggest investor in NATO and the U.N., always the first on the scene of natural disasters around the world.
Taking all this into consideration, my personal opinion of Past President Obama is that he is not a patriot. He passed up a golden opportunity to unite his people (black and white) and is in part responsible for the chaos we are witnessing against the present administration.
