I think I speak for most in Montana when I say I am sick and tired of politics. 2016 was an incredibly difficult campaign season to endure, and in 2017 people seem more divided than ever. With the prospect of a special election looming on the Montana horizon we are not out of the woods yet.
However, I do believe the recent news that Judge Neil Gorsuch has been nominated to fill Justice Scalia’s seat on the Supreme Court is a silver lining among it all and he seems to be an overwhelmingly qualified individual to fill the vacancy. He has clerked for 3 Supreme Court Justices, has served as a Federal Judge on the 10th district court, and is known as a strongly independent judicial thinker, with a history of making judgements based on strict adherence to the Constitution’s original intent.
I’ve read that Senator Tester is on the fence about Judge Gorsuch. If you’re like me and are tired of the politics, join me in calling Sen. Tester’s office at: (406) 728-3003
Let’s urge him to make government work again and vote to CONFIRM Judge Gorsuch to the Supreme Court.
