The Corvallis Blue Devils are on a roll. After losing to Butte Central two weeks ago, they have defeated Dillon who was in second place in the Southwest A, and two tough Class B schools, Florence and Anaconda. With a balanced attack that can move the ball quickly, the Blue Devils also have a balanced scoring attack spearheaded by Corinne Sanderson, Calla Haldorson and Emme Warnken. With Genesis Keith and Penny Jessop under the basket, the Blue Devils control the boards as well. And then add in sixth man, Lainie Albright who can hit a long bomb and the team is ready to roll.
Their swarming defense held Anaconda to only 19 points in the game, seven of which were scored in the first quarter. Corvallis was led by Sanderson’s 18 points.

The Lady Pirates of Victor are also on a roll. They won twice over the weekend with wins over Hot Springs and Lincoln. The team’s dynamics are coming together with the integration of new/old player Payton Tillotson, and new transfer Ashlynn Harrington. Both transferred in to the school and just became eligible at the semester break.
Victor jumped out to a 10-point lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back in their game against Hot Springs. They went on to win, 50-28. Tillotson had 22 points and Jamie Burdett added 13 more.

Victor topped Lincoln, 51-26, in 13C action on Saturday in Lincoln. The Lady Pirates poured in 17 points in the first quarter while holding the Lady Lynx scoreless. Tillotson had 20 and Burdett added 14.

Darby also notched two wins over the weekend. They topped Valley Christian in conference action and Two Eagle River School in non-conference action.
The Lady Tigers led throughout their game against Valley Christian and went on to win, 54-42. Casey Ehmann dropped in 17 points to lead the Lady Tigers and Mackenzie Smith had 10 more.

Darby trailed at the end of the first quarter by one point but they rallied in the second and applied their tough defense to come back and win, 54-33. The Lady Tigers held Two Eagle to only 17 points in the second half. Slanger led the Darby scoring with 12 points.

Stevensville took on the tough Columbia Falls WildKats in non-conference action. Columbia Falls put up 30 points in the first quarter and went on to win, 93-38. Angel Richards scored 21 points to lead Stevensville.

Hamilton went to Butte Central for a match against the league-leading Lady Maroons. The Lady Broncs stayed with Butte Central for the first half and had a three-point lead going into the break. Hamilton was only behind by a point at the end of three quarters. But then Butte Central went to town in the final frame and outscored Hamilton by 12 points. Butte Central won, 47-34.
